The other day, a friend told me he purchased a new software system for his successful business. He was very excited.
I asked him how well it supported his proven systems and processes. He explained that he needs to change most of his processes to accommodate the new software.
I wished him well as he had already made the heavy investment.
Software should augment your business and make it more efficient. You should never risk success to accommodate the software. If the software jeopardizes success in favor of new and glamorous processes, it’s not for you.
